We are a quiet family Camping Park, in the rural hamlet of Stragglethorpe, south east of Nottingham, close to Radcliffe-On-Trent and Cotgrave.

Thornton's Holt offers spacious pitches on level grassland, carefully lanscaped with mature trees, fruit orchards and gardens.

We have a friendly farm type atmosphere with cheeky free range hens wandering throughout the park, two resident horses Spike and Spartacus, our border terrier Pickle, and our three cats who specialise in reception duties.

The birds are singing, the fruit trees are breaking into blossom, and the trees and hedgerows are turning green again - time to get out and enjoy the outdoors!

We have hardstandings and grass pitches available for motorhomes, caravans and tents so make the most of a nice weekend and come to Thornton's Holt to relax and unwind. 

Our reception staff are available to take bookings between 9 and 5 Monday to Friday, and between 10 and 3 on Sundays.

  

Across the road is The Shepherds Pub and Carvery, a bus stop with a regular service to Nottingham, and a cycle track leading to Nottingham, the local villages, the National Watersports Centre, and the Cotgrave Country Park and Grantham Canal.

Our local villages of Cotgrave and Radcliffe on Trent are well equipped with supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and takeaways.



We have an indoor heated swimming pool, a small shop, laundry, washroom facilities and large childrens play area (under 12 years) which are all open every day throughout the summer.  For more details on our swimming pool click here.

We also have a  comfortable and cosy holiday cottage, The Annex.  It is available for long weekends, mid week and week long stays.
