Welcome to Thornton's Holt Camping Park

We are a quiet family Camping Park, at Stragglethorpe, a scattered rural hamlet 3 ½ miles south east of Nottingham, between the villages of Radcliffe-On-Trent and Cotgrave.
We have a friendly farm type atmosphere with free ranging hens & ducks wandering around the park. During your stay you might like to meet our horses Spike and Smokey,
our border terrier Pickle, and our three cats that specialise in reception duties!

On the Camping Park there is an indoor heated swimming pool, a small shop, washroom facilities and large childrens play area (under 12 years). We also have a comfortable and cosy holiday cottage, The Annex. It is available for long weekends, mid week and week long stays.
Across the road is The Shepherds Pub and Carvery, and a bus stop with a regular service to Nottingham. The local villages of Cotgrave and Radcliffe on Trent are well equipped with small supermarkets and takeaways.

Our location within the Trent Valley is ideal for those wishing to explore our local area including the Vale of Belvoir and Sherwood Forest.
The City of Nottingham is also on our doorstep, just a short bus ride away. It's great for shopping and home to the oldest Pub in England, The Trip to Jerusalem.

Winter is a quiet and peaceful time at Thornton's Holt. We stay open using our double width hardstanding pitches.
The shop and the swimming pool are now closed and will re-open at the beginning of April.
If you want to make the most of your caravan this winter try our Winter Season Pitch. You can store your caravan on a hardstanding pitch and use it at the weekends.
